Ivy League Plus Application

Ivy League Plus Application – Your path to the top universities in the USA

The dream of studying at Harvard, Yale, Princeton, or Stanford requires far more than excellent grades and a high matura score. The Ivy League Plus Application is a comprehensive program that guides the candidate through the entire admissions process – from aptitude diagnostics, through building a “top-tier candidate” profile, to finalizing documents and admissions interviews. We help avoid the most common mistake of Polish students: the assumption that a good school transcript is enough to break through the most selective admissions processes in the world.

In practice, applying to top US universities means many months of multi-threaded work – building extracurricular activities, writing and revising essays, preparing for SAT/ACT and TOEFL, collecting recommendations, submitting applications through the Common App, and often also pursuing need-blind financial aid. Without a guide who knows the system from the inside, it’s easy to fall into chaos, missed deadlines, and applications that “drown” among thousands of similar ones. We organize this process so that every element of the candidate’s profile strengthens the whole.

The first consultation is free – during it, we discuss the goals, schedule, and a realistic picture of your child’s chances of admission to Ivy League and other elite universities in the USA.

Who is the Ivy League Plus Application for?

The program is aimed at students in years 1–3 of high school who are consciously planning to study abroad – particularly in the United States, but often considering the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, or Scandinavia at the same time. It works especially well for students of the IB Diploma Programme, A-Levels, and the Polish matura who have the ambition to be admitted to Ivy League universities and other leading American campuses (MIT, Stanford, Duke, Northwestern, Johns Hopkins).

This program is for people who:

  • are aiming for medicine, biochemistry, natural sciences, engineering, economics, or interdisciplinary fields in the USA,
  • want a real, measurable competitive advantage, not just “help filling in forms”,
  • are considering applying with merit-based or need-blind scholarships in mind,
  • want to avoid the typical mistakes of Polish candidates – essays that are too modest, mismatched universities, and poorly distributed work on SAT/ACT preparation.

The parents who come to us are most often looking for one thing: someone who will truly guide their child through the non-obvious stages of Ivy League admissions and answer honestly what works and what only looks good on paper.

Why is good preparation for applying in the USA so important?

The American admissions process works completely differently from the Polish or even the British one. Committees look at the candidate holistically – they assess not only GPA and test scores, but also essays, extracurricular projects, recommendations, maturity, way of thinking, and the authenticity of the story. Strong grades are a necessary but never sufficient condition. In practice, this means that without a well-prepared candidate profile and a thought-out strategy, even a very talented student is eliminated in the first stages of selection.

On top of this comes the examination infrastructure. SAT or ACT, TOEFL/IELTS, sometimes additional AP or Subject Tests – these are elements where professional support can raise the score by up to several hundred points. To be specific: a well-coached student can improve their SAT score by about 220 points, which directly translates into the pool of universities they can realistically apply to.

Looking more broadly – studying at one of the elite universities in the USA is not just a diploma. It’s the environment, the contacts, access to internships at global companies and research organizations, an international alumni network, and open doors to careers in finance, technology, medicine, or science. Better preparation → better university → better network → greater professional opportunities. An investment in a solid admissions process at the age of 16–18 pays off throughout adult life.

Our methodology – why parents and students choose us

Our mentors are graduates of Cambridge, Oxford, and other leading world universities. Some of them went through Ivy League admissions themselves, and many serve as examiners – thanks to which we know exactly what the committees look at, which essays end up in the bin, and which move the application a step further.

We work based on a clear action plan (roadmap) spanning 1–3 years. From the very first session, the student knows what is happening now, what awaits them next semester, and what milestones they need to reach before Common App deadlines. After each meeting, we provide short feedback – both to the student and to the parent, if they wish. Between sessions we stay in constant contact: questions about an essay, doubts before a test, small admissions decisions – none of them have to wait until the next session.

In our methodology, the following concrete elements are important to us:

  • aptitude diagnostics and a realistic assessment of chances at particular universities,
  • an individually tailored application strategy (ED, EA, RD, balance of reach/target/safety),
  • systematic work on essays – Common App essay, supplemental essays, “Why this college”,
  • preparation for SAT, ACT, TOEFL/IELTS with specific score targets,
  • mock interviews in the style of conversations with alumni and admissions officers,
  • analysis and strengthening of extracurricular activities in terms of the application narrative,
  • support in obtaining and editing letters of recommendation.

During the process, the parent sees the child’s progress on an ongoing basis, receives reports from key stages, and knows where we currently stand in the schedule. The student – instead of drowning in a sea of requirements – gains structure, self-confidence, and the feeling that behind their application stands a team that knows the system “from the inside”.

Scope of support in the Ivy League Plus Application program

The program leads the candidate through all stages of the application – from the first diagnostic conversation to the admissions committee’s decision and the logistics of the move.

  • Student profile analysis – strengths, gaps, directions of development, realistic university matching,
  • University selection – a personalized report with a reach / target / safety list tailored to the family’s profile and budget,
  • Application strategy – choice of path (Early Decision, Early Action, Regular Decision), deadline planning,
  • Entrance test preparation – SAT, ACT, TOEFL, IELTS, and, if needed, AP,
  • Mock interviews with real feedback from people who know the specifics of conversations with alumni and admissions,
  • Personal statement and application essays – multiple joint edits, refining the candidate’s narrative,
  • Building an academic and extracurricular portfolio – projects, competitions, publications, volunteering, research,
  • A 1–3 year plan that arranges everything into a coherent schedule from the first year of high school to the day the application is submitted,
  • Support with scholarships (including need-blind universities) as well as accommodation and relocation matters.

The program will require, among other things: a high GPA / results during studies, a matura certificate (or predicted IB/A-Levels grades), letters of recommendation, a language certificate, and – optionally – SAT/ACT results and a portfolio (in the case of art and design majors). If any of these elements is not yet in place – we help build it.

The Ivy League Plus Application as part of a broader educational path

At MonPat Education, we deliberately look at the student from a perspective of several years, not a single exam. The Ivy League Plus Application is our flagship program for those aiming for the USA, but it is rarely the only element a candidate for elite universities in the USA needs. We most often combine it with other areas of support.

If your child studies in the international system, the natural complement is tutoring and preparation for the IB matura as well as support in the Extended Essay and TOK – elements that American committees read with great attention. For A-Level students, we have a full offer of A-Levels preparation in individual subjects. If applying to the USA is one option and the United Kingdom is another – it is also worth looking at the Studies in the United Kingdom program, including the application to top 50 universities in the USA and the application with scholarships.

Under the “umbrella” of a single process, we can therefore simultaneously guide a student through subject tutoring, preparation for the SAT, ACT, TOEFL or IELTS Academic, building extracurricular activities, and the application itself. Thanks to this, the parent has one point of contact and a coherent strategy instead of several independent service providers.

The first step – a free consultation

The best decision you can make right now is to schedule a free first consultation. During the conversation, we will look at the student’s current profile, discuss realistic admissions goals for Ivy League universities and other elite universities in the USA, and propose a concrete action plan for the coming months. No obligations, no pressure – just an honest conversation about what can be done in your situation.

The sooner we start working, the more possibilities there are – building a candidate profile at the Ivy League level is a process in which time works either in favor of your child or against them. So let’s start at the right moment.
