Bocconi University – potential diagnostics

Bocconi University – potential assessment. The first step to studying in the heart of European economics

Dreams of studying at Bocconi most often fall apart not because of a lack of ambition, but because of a lack of a reliable diagnosis. Students with high mathematics grades suddenly see that the Bocconi Test requires a completely different type of thinking than Polish school – fast, logical, based on understanding, not formulas. Parents, in turn, don’t know whether their child has a real chance or is “trying their luck” without a plan. Our Bocconi University – potential assessment service responds exactly to this problem: we show what stage the candidate is really at, where they have gaps, and what they need to do for admissions to Bocconi University to end in success.

The assessment is not a test for the sake of a test. It is an organised start to the application process: we understand how to get into Bocconi, we know the score thresholds, we know what distinguishes a candidate with a chance for International Economics and Finance from a candidate who will get into a programme with a lower threshold. After the assessment, the student has clarity, the parent has peace of mind, and we have an action plan.

Who is this service for?

The potential assessment for Bocconi is designed for students in years 1–3 of high school, who are seriously thinking about studying in Italy or, more broadly, about economics, finance, management, or law at a European university with an international reputation. It works well for students of the Polish Matura, the IB International Baccalaureate, and A-Levels, who have good grades but don’t know whether that’s enough.

The service is for parents and students who don’t want to act blindly. Many candidates with impressive results drop out at the entrance test stage because they have never worked in the academic style required by Bocconi – fast, problem-based, under time pressure. The assessment shows whether the student has a real chance and what specifically they need to improve before sending the application. It is an investment in a conscious choice, not a lottery.

Why is potential assessment before applying to Bocconi so important?

Bocconi is one of the most selective business universities in Europe, with an acceptance rate of around 38%. The key element of admissions is the Bocconi Test – a standardised online exam that accounts for around 45% of the final application score. The test covers mathematics, numerical reasoning, logic, and reading comprehension. A safe result is above 35 out of 50 points, but for top courses, such as International Economics and Finance, the thresholds are much higher.

These are the Bocconi requirements that cannot be bypassed:

  • Bocconi Test – sections in mathematics, logic, numerical reasoning, and reading comprehension, conducted online on the Respondus platform.
  • SAT score – at least 1040 points, of which at least 520 in Reading/Writing and 520 in Math.
  • Language certificate – TOEFL with a result of at least 100 points or IELTS at 7.0.
  • School certificates – in the case of Polish documents, a sworn translation is required.
  • Grades in mathematics and English from the last two years – these account for around 45% of the score.
  • CV and an optional application for the Bocconi4Access scholarship, giving up to 100% exemption from tuition fees (which amount to around 17 thousand euros per year).

The initial diagnosis, i.e. a simulation of the Bocconi Test in conditions close to the exam, reveals what school grades will not show: whether the student works under time pressure, whether they have gaps in specific areas of mathematics, whether the language barrier will not lower the result. Without this knowledge, preparation for admissions is shooting in the dark.

The long-term stake is even greater. Bocconi is not just a prestigious diploma – it is a network of contacts, internships in Milan, London, and New York, open doors to investment banks, consulting firms, and MBA programmes around the world. Better preparation leads to a better university, a better university to a stronger environment, and a stronger environment to a real advantage in the job market. Studying economics in Italy at Bocconi is not an end in itself – it is the beginning of a specific path of international career.

How do we work? Methodology based on real admissions experience

Our mentors are graduates of Cambridge, Oxford, and other top universities worldwide. They know the application process from the inside – not from brochures, but from their own experiences and from working with dozens of candidates. We conduct the assessment for Bocconi in a structured way, but completely tailored to the specific student. The first consultation is free – during it we discuss the candidate’s situation, grades, plans, and level of motivation.

After the assessment, the student receives a written report with the strengths and weaknesses of their profile and a specific action map for the coming months. After each session, we provide brief feedback, so that the parent knows exactly what stage their child is at and what has been worked out. Between meetings we are available by email and phone – if a question arises about a deadline, document, scholarship, or admissions interview, we answer quickly and concretely.

Why do parents and students choose us?

  • Real Bocconi Test simulation – in conditions close to the exam, with analysis of each section.
  • Individual action plan – tailored to the year, level of advancement, and the chosen course at Bocconi.
  • Mentors with admissions experience – graduates of top universities who have themselves been through selective application processes.
  • Support in preparation for SAT, TOEFL/IELTS and in work on the CV and the Bocconi4Access scholarship application.
  • Constant contact – we answer questions between sessions, we don’t leave the family alone with the procedures.
  • Transparency of progress – reports after sessions, clear milestones, no chaos.

Scope of support within the Bocconi assessment

The potential assessment is not a one-off test – it is the beginning of a process in which we support the student comprehensively. Within the cooperation we offer:

  • Analysis of the student’s profile – grades, aptitudes, motivation, achievements to date.
  • Bocconi Test simulation – an initial diagnosis showing the level of mathematics, logic, numerical reasoning, and reading comprehension.
  • Application strategy – choice of course, application deadlines, and preparation path.
  • Preparation for entrance tests – Bocconi Test, SAT, and possibly other supplementary exams.
  • Language courses – preparation for TOEFL or IELTS Academic at the level required by Bocconi.
  • Work on the CV and application documents – including the application for the Bocconi4Access scholarship.
  • A 1–3 year plan – if the student is in year 1 or 2 of high school, we put together a schedule for building the candidate’s profile step by step.

Bocconi is one element of a wider educational strategy

The Bocconi assessment is rarely a standalone decision. It most often appears at the moment when the student and family seriously think about studying abroad – and here it is worth knowing that our offer goes far beyond one university. Bocconi is an excellent choice for those interested in economics, finance, and management in Italy, but if the student is also considering other directions, we have ready preparation paths for studies in the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, the USA, Denmark, and Ireland.

Importantly – how to get into Bocconi is a question that is easier to answer if the student already has a solid foundation in mathematics and English. That is why the assessment for Bocconi naturally connects with our tutoring offer – mathematics, English, and in the case of IB students also IB Mathematics and IB Economics. A-Levels students can use A-Levels Mathematics and A-Levels Economics – the same subjects that the Bocconi committee rewards most strongly.

If the application to Bocconi turns out to be one of several paths under consideration, it is worth knowing that we also offer comprehensive potential assessment for medicine in Italy and the Ivy League+ application for students aiming the highest. With us, the student does not have to choose between universities blindly – we help to consciously plan the entire educational path, from the Matura to admission to the dream course.

If you are wondering whether your child has a real chance at Bocconi – don’t guess. Book a free first consultation and start the process with a specific, reliable diagnosis.
