Why is IB biology so important?

Biology in the IB programme is much more than a school subject. For many degree programmes – especially in medicine and the natural sciences – it is a mandatory condition for admission. Without a high grade in HL biology, it is difficult to consider applying to medicine in the United Kingdom, Ireland, the Netherlands, or Italy.
