Physics tutoring
Physics tutoring – understand the laws that govern the world and open the doors to the best universities
Physics is a subject that for many students seems complicated, abstract, and full of formulas to memorise. Yet the real key to success is not the rote reproduction of definitions, but understanding the mechanisms behind phenomena. At MonPat Education we help students move from “I’m learning by heart” to “I understand and can apply” – which translates into genuine grade improvement, higher exam results, and confidence during entrance exams at prestigious universities in Poland and abroad.
Our physics tutoring is an individually tailored learning programme led by teachers with academic experience – including graduates of Cambridge, Oxford, and other leading universities around the world. We work with primary and secondary school students as well as those preparing for the extended school-leaving exam, physics olympiads, and technical or medical degree programmes.
The first consultation is completely free – during it we assess the student’s level, discuss goals, and prepare a concrete action plan.

Who is our physics tutoring for?
Students at very different stages of education benefit from our support – they share one thing: they want to understand physics, not just “get through the material”. Our offer is aimed particularly at:
- primary school students who are just beginning their journey with physics and want to build solid foundations,
- secondary school and technical school students who need support with current material, tests, and class assignments,
- exam students preparing for the standard and extended school-leaving exam, especially those aiming for results above 90–95% required by top universities,
- students on IB and A-Level international programmes who need support with the specific way physics is taught in these systems,
- candidates for technical, medical, and natural science degree programmes – technical universities, engineering programmes, medicine, Natural Sciences at Cambridge,
- participants in physics olympiads and subject competitions,
- first-year students of technical degree programmes who want to catch up on gaps from secondary school or prepare for assessments.
Why is physics so important on the path to a dream university?
Physics is a subject that in many admissions processes plays the role of a threshold exam. Without a high result in physics at extended level or HL (in the case of IB), most prestigious programmes are out of reach: medicine, engineering, natural sciences, architecture, aviation, and science-based programmes at leading Polish and foreign universities. At universities such as Cambridge, Oxford, Imperial College London, or ETH Zurich, candidates are expected not only to have high grades, but also to demonstrate a deep understanding of physical principles and the ability to solve unusual problems – which is verified during entrance exams such as TMUA or during admissions interviews.
Moreover, physics teaches a way of thinking whose value extends far beyond school. A better understanding of physics leads to better exam results, and these open the doors to the most prestigious universities in the world. And studying at a good institution is not just a diploma – it is also a strong network, access to internships at leading companies, and a foundation for a successful academic or professional career. Investing in learning physics today is an investment in the life decisions the student will be making for decades to come.
Many students tell us: “I can do the textbook problems, but exam papers catch me off guard.” This is not a matter of lacking knowledge – it is a matter of lacking strategy and deep understanding. And that is precisely what we work on.
Our methodology – why parents and students choose us
Our approach to teaching physics is fully individualised. Every collaboration begins with a thorough diagnostic assessment: we check which areas of the material cause the student the greatest difficulty, what their learning style is, and what the real goal of the sessions is – whether it is improving a school grade, succeeding in the exam, preparing for an olympiad, or applying to universities abroad.
In lessons we cover the full range of physics material – from mechanics, thermodynamics, electrostatics, and electric circuits, through magnetism, waves, optics, and modern physics, all the way to advanced calculation-based tasks. We explain topics step by step, show how formulas follow from physical laws (and not the other way around), and teach students to recognise the types of problems that appear in CKE exam papers as well as IB and A-Level exams.
What specifically distinguishes our sessions?
- An individual teaching plan – each student works at their own pace and on their own gaps, not on a “one size fits all” programme,
- Brief feedback after every session – the parent and student know what was covered, what went well, and what still needs work,
- Regular progress reports – we track progress in a measurable way: improvement in percentages on mock papers, topics mastered, time needed to solve a problem,
- Work on real CKE exam papers, IB and A-Level past papers, and physics olympiad problems,
- Training in working under time pressure – exam simulations in conditions close to the real thing,
- Flexible session format – online or in person, individual or in small groups, with timetabling adapted to the student’s schedule,
- Contact with the tutor between sessions – if a student gets stuck on a problem during the week, they have someone to turn to,
- Marking of homework and additional exercises, so that learning does not stop when the lesson ends.
Our teachers are not random tutors. They are graduates of the world’s best universities who have themselves been through the application process and know the system from the inside. Many of them also work on IB and A-Level exams, so they know exactly what examiners look for.
Scope of support in physics tutoring
As part of our sessions we offer:
- full support covering the standard curriculum and extended material – from the fundamentals of mechanics to quantum physics,
- preparation for the eighth-grade exam and school assessments,
- comprehensive preparation for the Polish school-leaving exam – both standard and extended level,
- specialist support for IB students (Physics SL/HL) and A-Level students (Physics),
- analysis of exam papers and recognition of recurring question patterns,
- a scoring strategy – how to earn the maximum number of points in the minimum time,
- exam simulations under realistic conditions,
- final revision sessions in the weeks immediately before the exam,
- preparation for the physics olympiad and subject competitions,
- support in writing the Internal Assessment in physics for IB students,
- preparation for university entrance exams abroad, including maths-and-physics tests such as TMUA,
- tutoring for students of technical degree programmes – analytical mechanics, electrodynamics, general physics at university level.
Physics tutoring is just the beginning – explore our comprehensive offer
Physics tutoring is a great first step – but at MonPat Education we offer much more than a single subject. Many of our students begin with help in learning physics and over time make use of our comprehensive support on the path to their dream university.
If your child is thinking about studying abroad, it is worth knowing that we offer preparation for the IB international baccalaureate and A-Levels, which are the natural passport to universities in the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Denmark, Ireland, Italy, and the United States. We also assist with the application process itself – from choosing a degree programme, through preparing the personal statement, all the way to mock interviews and entrance exams.
For the most ambitious candidates we have our flagship Oxbridge programme, dedicated to students aiming for Cambridge, Oxford, and Ivy League universities. If the goal is to study in the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, or the United States, we guide the student comprehensively, step by step, through the entire process.
That is why we take a long-term approach with every student. Even from the very first conversation we think together about where they are heading – even if at the outset the goal is “just” to improve a physics grade. It may turn out that good results open doors they had not even considered before.
Book a free consultation
The first consultation at MonPat Education is completely free. During it we get to know the student, assess their level of physics knowledge, discuss their educational goals, and present a work plan tailored to their individual needs. It is a no-obligation conversation that often helps parents and students organise their priorities for the months ahead.
Whether you are looking for help with current material, preparing for the extended school-leaving exam, planning technical studies in Poland, or considering an application to a university abroad – we are here to support you. Draw on the experience of tutors and mentors who have themselves achieved success at the world’s best universities, and take the first step towards your goals.
