The programme is aimed at high school students and graduates who plan to study art and design courses abroad \u2013 in the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Germany, Italy, or Scandinavia. It works well for people considering illustration, graphic design, painting, photography, fashion, architecture, industrial design, animation, or digital media arts.<\/p>\n
We help both those who are just beginning to build their portfolio<\/strong> and need direction, and those who have already collected works but don’t know how to organise, describe, and present them. We also support students who are torn between several directions \u2013 they want to study something creative but aren’t sure whether their strength lies in fine art, applied design, or perhaps architecture. Many of our students have very good academic results and need additional support in an area where school usually doesn’t help \u2013 namely, in building an artistic profile.<\/p>\nWhy does the portfolio decide everything?<\/h2>\n
In admissions to art & design studies<\/strong>, the portfolio is literally what opens (or closes) doors. Admissions committees at universities such as the Royal College of Art, Central Saint Martins, Glasgow School of Art, Design Academy Eindhoven, or TU Delft review thousands of applications \u2013 and the decision is often made based on the first few minutes of looking through the work. The portfolio shows whether you think like an artist, whether you can guide a creative process, and whether you understand why you do what you do.<\/p>\nA good portfolio should consist of 15\u201320 varied works<\/strong> presenting different techniques, themes, and skills. However, what counts is quality, not quantity \u2013 and above all, the ability to show the creative process: from sketches and inspiration, through trial and error, to the final result. Committees want to see reflection on each piece and understand your artistic narrative. For courses such as graphic design, architecture, or fashion, alignment is also key \u2013 technical drawings, process photos, 3D projects, or models must meet the specific requirements of each university.<\/p>\nIn the long term, this is one of the most important educational decisions in your child’s life. A good portfolio is not just a ticket to university \u2013 it is the start of an artistic career in an international environment<\/strong>. Universities such as RCA, CSM, and Eindhoven provide access to mentors, employers, galleries, and networks of contacts that cannot be built in Poland. Investing in thorough portfolio preparation translates into a significantly better university, which in turn means first commissions, scholarships, residencies, and jobs in design studios around the world.<\/p>\nHow do we work on your portfolio?<\/h2>\n
Our approach is fully individual. We don’t work according to a single template, because every artist has a different style, a different story, and different strengths. We start with a thorough analysis of what you have, who you want to be as an artist, and where you want to study. Only then do we build an action plan.<\/p>\n
After each session, you receive specific feedback \u2013 what works, what needs refining, and what steps to take before the next meeting. You work with a mentor who has themselves gone through admissions to top art schools and knows what committees really look at. Between sessions, we stay in constant contact \u2013 you can send a photo of new work, ask about a project description, or consult on the decision of which university to add to your list. Parents receive progress reports and know what stage their child is at, which eliminates stress and the feeling that the process is getting out of hand.<\/p>\n
We also work on what schools usually don’t practise \u2013 writing work descriptions, statements of intent, artistic reflection<\/strong>, and preparing for the admissions interview. These are often the elements that distinguish an admitted candidate from a rejected one.<\/p>\n
