Extended Essay and Theory of Knowledge are not “extra” elements of the IB \u2013 they are part of the programme’s core, which together contribute up to 3 additional points to the total International Baccalaureate score<\/strong>. We work on a 1:1 basis, adapting the pace and scope to the individual student, their EE subject and their chosen TOK topic. Every collaboration begins with an assessment: what stage the student is at, how much time remains before the submission deadline, and what their strengths and weaknesses are as a writer. On this basis we draw up a clear work roadmap<\/strong> \u2013 with specific milestones, deadlines and the scope of each session. This way, no one is left alone with a blank page and a deadline a month away.<\/p>\nAfter each session the student receives brief feedback \u2013 what went well, what needs improvement and exactly what they should prepare for the next meeting. Parents are kept up to date on their child’s progress: whether the topic has been approved, whether the outline is ready, whether the introduction meets the IBO criteria. We stay in touch between sessions \u2013 if a student gets stuck on a paragraph at midnight before a deadline, they have someone to contact.
