Our help is used by high school students in years 1\u20133, students of the IB programme and the Polish Matura, as well as people preparing for studies in fields such as architecture, design, fashion design, graphic design, photography, painting, animation, or illustration.<\/p>\n<p>We work with students who already have the beginnings of a portfolio and want to refine it, as well as with those who are starting work on their first projects and need direction. <strong>Good grades are not enough<\/strong> \u2013 admissions committees at art schools look for an individual voice, a way of thinking about the image, and technical maturity. Our task is to help the student find that voice and present it in a way that will be noticed.<\/p>\n<h2>Why does the portfolio decide everything?<\/h2>\n<p>On art courses, the <strong>portfolio is the most important application document<\/strong> \u2013 more important than Matura or IB results. It consists of 10\u201320 carefully selected works that demonstrate a varied skill set: life drawing, still life, figure studies, creative projects, conceptual work, and sometimes also sketchbooks and creative processes. Each university has its own guidelines \u2013 different formats, different technical requirements, different emphasis on specific skills. What delights the committee at Central Saint Martins will not necessarily work at Design Academy Eindhoven.<\/p>\n<p>The question of <strong>how to get into art school<\/strong> has many layers. What counts is not only the quality of individual works, but the narrative of the entire portfolio \u2013 whether a coherent creative personality is visible, whether the student can develop an idea, whether they can work across different media. Committees also look at the process, not just the final result. That&#8217;s why it&#8217;s worth starting work on a portfolio well in advance \u2013 ideally 1.5\u20132 years before applying.<\/p>\n<p>In the long term, getting into a good art school is an investment that pays off throughout a professional life. <strong>Better preparation leads to a better university, a better university means a stronger network of contacts<\/strong>, access to industry exhibitions, internships at the largest design studios and workshops, and consequently \u2013 real career opportunities in the creative sector, which is one of the fastest-growing in the world.<\/p>\n<h2>How we work \u2013 the MonPat Education methodology<\/h2>\n<p>Every student receives an individual plan \u2013 an application roadmap \u2013 in which we map out the stages of work on the portfolio, university deadlines, practical exams, and preparation for the admissions interview. <strong>After each session, we provide brief feedback<\/strong> with specific guidance: which works to keep, which to refine, in which direction to develop further projects. This allows the student to work consciously between meetings, and parents to see real progress.<\/p>\n<p>Why do parents and students choose us?
